IF FOOTMEN WEARY YOU, WHAT SHALL THE HORSES DO

Jeremiah 12:1-5

The 11^th and the 12^th chapters of Jeremiah are a reprimand by the Lord to a rebellious people. The question is simply if the service of the Lord was to much with the Lord’s blessing behind it, how shall the judgment of the Lord be when the Lord can not be found. The question is if it is so bad now what shall be the answer when it really gets down to the judgment of God:

CONCERNING THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST --

if the preaching of the worship of Christ wearies you now; that is:

Jesus is God –Jn. 10:30; Rev. 1:5-9
Jesus is creator—Jn. 1:3; Col. 1:16
Jesus is the Savior—Jn. 1:29; I Jn. 5:12
Jesus is Lord of all—Jn. 1:27; Heb. 1:1-3

how shall it weary you on that day when Jesus is revealed—Rev. 19:11-16

when every knee shall bow—Rom. 14:11
when every tongue shall confess—Phill. 2:9-11
when all the world shall be judged by him—Jn. 5:22 & 27

CONCERNING THE JUDGMENT OF SIN –

if the preaching of separation of sin wearies you now; that is:

bible examples don’t apply to you—I Cor. 10:1-11
the surety of judgment doesn’t deter you—Gal. 6:7
the sinners you see don’t convince you—

if the preaching of the blood atonement wearies you now; that is:

he paid the debt of sin for the whole world—Rom. 5:7-11
he is the only accepted propitiation for man’s sin—I Jn. 2:1-2

how shall it weary you at the Great White Throne Judgment—Rev. 20:11-15

when every sin shall be called into question
when the only escape from hell will be the shed blood of Christ—
when it is commanded that all the unsaved be cast into the Lake of Fire-Rev. 21:6-8

CONCERNING THE REWARDS OF THE RIGHTEOUS –

if the preaching of the discipleship of Christ wearies you; that is:

how that you are bought with a price—I Cor. 6:20
how it is required of stewards to be faithful—I Cor. 4:1-2
how it is your reasonable service—Rom. 12:1

how shall it weary you when we are at the Judgment Seat of Christ—I Cor. 3:11-15

when we are rewarded for our service with crowns and recognition—Matt. 24:45-47
when are the rewards of our service are offered back to the Lord—Rev. 4:9-11

Not to mention the horses of this life, disease, sorrows, disappointments, and deaths...
